Show Notes

In the second part to our conversation with Kathy, she begins to explain to us why the church felt the need to tell a large group of members to get rebaptized.   The leaders of the church required certain members of certain churchs to do the indoctrication studies all over again before getting rebaptized.

The church in Indianapolis split from the International Church of Christ in 1994 due to a disagreement in belief and policy.   The leader of the church in Indianapolis made the decision to leave the ICOC.  He spoke about this with the members in attendance on a Sunday morning.  This was an important moment in the history of the ICOC as one part of the congregation chose to leave the ICOC while the other part decided to remain with the ICOC.  The ICOC then regarded these dissenters as fall aways and traitors.  Kathy was a part of this group of people that left and she was in attendance when the leader of the church in Indianapolis made such an announcement.  Join us as she recounts these events.
